  • Type of Message: This will be set to Slack. If you want to change this message to any other type, you may do so here.
  • Target Channel: You can change where the message will be sent.
  • Deliver: Defines a delivery date. (Delivery time is managed by your account administrator.)
  • Reminder: Defines a reminder cadence, upon which notification recipients set in the journey’s Preferences will receive an email memo about this message’s upcoming send.
  • Destination: Defines a destination, either within the Employee Experience or to an external URL you can define.

6. Click on the Edit pencil, and fill out your message fields:

  • Subject: Will show at the top of your message. (Remember to keep it short and sweet.)
  • Message: The main information that will show below your subject.
  • Call to Action: The text that will appear in the Call to Action button that will link to the set destination. Tivian recommends a clear Call to Action directing your employees to take action.

Tracking your messages

You can view your Slack messages’ engagement in the Analytics section of your Communicate Journey. To find specific Slack message results in the Daily Engagement, look for the Slack icon.

The Summary shows the following for Slack analytics:

  • Users Reached: Shows how many channel members clicked the CTA in the Slack message.
  • Engaged Views: Shows how many channel members engaged in the content linked from the Slack message.
  • Actions Taken: Shows how many times the CTA button following the viewed content, has been clicked.

Note: Due to the fact that you are sending this message to a specific team’s channel, you will not receive the same rich feedback as you do from other campaign message types, as your audience members in this case, are only limited to that specific channel.
