About tasks

A task is a way to help you manage your communications campaign and add to-do items to your schedule. You can add events to your timeline, like live meetings and trips, then set yourself reminders ahead of time, for example, “buy plane tickets.” Tasks are only viewable to you and those with admin access.

Create a task in your CXI campaign

  1. From the Campaign section, click on Add New.
  2. A pop-up window will appear.
  3. Select Task from the Type options to the left, and click Create.image2-6.png
  4. A new task template will appear.
  5. Click on the Notes tab and edit the following:
  • Message Title: This is the title of the task you will see in your campaign overview. You can name it around the message or the content experience you are communicating about. Only visible to administrators.
  • Notes: A place to give additional context for the asset. These notes are only visible to administrators.
  1. Then, click on the Properties tab and edit the following.
  • Date: Select the date when the task is scheduled.
  • Reminder: Set a date you’d like the system to email you a reminder about this task.
  1. Save it. And that’s it!

Who can create tasks in Tivian Communicate XI?

Only users added to the Communicate Journey team with ‘Owner’ or ‘Editor’ permission status can create new messages, including tasks.

What information can I include in a task?
