Overview
The 6.24.21 release of Tivian Communicate XI introduces two major features: content headers for organizing content within experiences, and journey archiving for managing active and completed campaigns. Content headers allow for better structuring of content, while journey archiving enables users to separate ongoing and finished campaigns for improved organization and management.
Summary
This release brings new features and abilities to Tivian Communicate XI (formerly GuideSpark Communicate Cloud®).
You can now:
- Use content headers to organize your content within a content experience
- Archive Communicate Journeys that are no longer needed
What is new?
Content headers
You can now add content headers in addition to pieces of content, polls, and ratings in the Experience section of a Communicate Journey. Content headers are an organizational tool that allow you to place a collection of content under them. Content headers are represented by an image you upload. If you include a Call to Action button in your content header, you can also measure the engagement analytics similar to other pieces of content. Learn more about content headers by reading the Content Headers article.
Another new addition is the Setup section at the top of the Experience section. This Setup replaces the previous Add and Set Default buttons. Now you can view the current defaults for that Communicate Journey.
Pieces of content, multiple choice polls, and sentiment ratings will also now have two new tabs to organize your parent and child pieces of content. The Parent tab allows you to select a parent piece for that specific piece of content. The Order tab allows you to select where in the content experience this piece of content will live.
Journey archiving
There are two tabs on the Journey Dashboard, Active and Archived. The Active tab is for Communicate Journeys with campaigns that are currently running. The Archived tab is for Communicate Journeys with campaigns that have finished and/or are no longer needed. You can switch a Communicate Journey to be Active or Archived by going to the Preference section for that particular Communicate Journey. Learn more in our Journey Dashboard article.
Note
If you switch a Communicate Journey with scheduled messages to Archived, then those messages will be paused.
FAQ
What are content headers and how do they work?
Content headers are organizational tools that allow you to group pieces of content, polls, and ratings under a single header in the Experience section of a Communicate Journey. They are represented by an uploaded image and can include a Call to Action button, which allows for engagement analytics tracking.
How does journey archiving function?
Journey archiving introduces two tabs on the Journey Dashboard: Active and Archived. Active journeys have ongoing campaigns, while Archived journeys contain completed or no longer needed campaigns. Users can switch a journey’s status in the Preference section of each Communicate Journey.
What changes have been made to content organization within journeys?
The Experience section now includes a Setup area at the top, replacing the previous Add and Set Default buttons. Content pieces, multiple choice polls, and sentiment ratings now have Parent and Order tabs for better organization. The Parent tab allows selection of a parent piece, while the Order tab determines the content’s position in the experience.
