Information
Introduction
Slack has quickly become one of the most popular applications for work collaboration. If your company uses Slack, you can integrate it with Tivian Communicate XI (CXI) in a few simple steps. Once this is done, you can use your company’s public Slack channels to deliver messages directly to your employees as campaign messages from Communicate Journeys. Using Slack allows you to reach employees where they already are, to both their computer and/or mobile app.
Integration
Steps to integrate Slack into CXI
These steps will need to be completed by a designated Communicate Cloud Administrator.
- Go to the Administration section in CXI.
- Go to the More section.
- Under Slack integration set up, click Add to Slack.
- You will be taken to Slack’s sign in. Enter your company’s Slack URL and then click Continue.
- If your company has SSO enabled you can sign in with that. If not, you can sign in with your email and password.
- You will then be taken to a permissions page which will list what CXI will be able to view and do. Once you have reviewed the drop-down information, click Allow.
- You will be taken back to the Slack integration setup area of the More section. If the integration was successful it will look like this:
Once Slack has been successfully integrated into your CXI account, you can begin sending messages to your public Slack channels. A CXI-sent Slack message will appear in the same way messages sent via the Slack app appear:
